Preventive Dentistry is a class at SDSU that gives students an introduction to all aspects of dentistry. The most important mission of Preventive Dentistry is to involve students with the community to promote oral health, especially in underserved communities. This class connects us with dentists in the area through clinic and observation and provides interactive workshops, speaker presentations, and volunteer opportunities.
Community service trips entail travel to preschools, churches, homless shelters, and disabled homes to share our knowledge and bring a bright smile to anyone we encounter.
